Some local planning authorities across Ireland are taking leadership on biodiversity friendly development and prescribing the need for Biodiversity net Gain in their respective Local Development Plans.
Working collaboratively and constructively with designers we can recommend practical steps through which the development can minimise it’s ecological footprint and secure biodiversity benefit and provide various qualitative and quantitative measures through which we can help evidence Biodiversity net Gain.
Building with Nature
Building with Nature is the UK’s first green infrastructure standards that defines what good green infrastructure (GI) looks like. They help place makers to design and deliver high-quality GI, and policy makers to clearly define requirements for GI in policy documents.
A Building with Nature award will provide your scheme with formal recognition of meeting Building with Nature standards, a verification of quality that can assure a wide spread of stakeholders that you are committed to the design and delivery of high quality green infrastructure, at both pre- and post-construction stages.
Conor is the only assessor for Building with Nature on the island of Ireland and can help your design team to work through the Building with Nature standards and an award which independently recognises quality development and help take the uncertainty out of planning applications.
