Our Belfast based ecologists carry out ecological appraisals throughout Ireland, these include:
Biodiversity Checklists
Biodiversity checklists are a tool used to help identify if a development proposal is likely to adversely affect biodiversity or natural heritage interests and can indicate if future surveys are required.
Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
A Preliminary Ecological Appraisal will establish the ecological conditions of a site and determine the importance of any ecological features that might be affected, additional ecological surveys that might be required or mitigation needed in order to comply with planning policy and legislation.
Ecological Impact Assessments
Ecological Impacts Assessments (EcIA) is a process of identifying, quantifying and evaluating potential effects of development-related or other proposed actions on habitats, species and ecosystem and can be applied to projects of widely varying scales. EcIAs are generally required when it is considered that a development proposal may have a significant ecological impact and helps to determine mitigation and quantify impact.
